In intensive care units, where positive air pressure must be maintained in the room, air filtration using HEPA filters must be installed on the air supply side.
In isolation rooms or other critical areas such as laboratories, an air pressure must be maintained negative to prevent the passage of contaminated air to the outside (generally a flow out of the room is considered to be 10% greater than the inlet flow). Air should not be recirculated by the ventilation system without HEPA filtration. AAF's Bag-in-Bag-out containment system is characterized by two filter stages.
The first stage of PM1 efficiency (old F9) is equipped with (4) four filter cartridges.
The second stage features (2) two HEPA H14 PTFE filters.
